Cyprus College of Art - Summer School 2013
I spent a month this summer at the Cyprus College of Art in Lemba (close to Paphos). The photograph above was taken from outside the accommodation complex which is situated just a 2 minute walk away from the studios. In an ideal fast paced world, I would have blogged about the things that inspired me and the work I was producing on a daily basis. However, purposefully not taking my lap top away with me allowed my attention to be given fully to the the place itself and to the people who I was sharing it with.
Now back in the UK and rested, I am taking the opportunity to sit back and revisit all of the precious moments from my time away and to reflect on how it influenced my practice whilst there and also how it may have impacted on future works.
My first blog entry is really just an introduction to the college - to put it on the map if you like. Many of the other artists that I met there had like me, been recommended the college from a fellow artist friend who had spent time there in the past. So now it's my turn to pass on the message to any budding artists out there - look it up - GO - you'll love it!
